剧情：
朱莉亚有记忆以来，父亲一直在她人生的重要阶段上缺席。随着她慢慢长大，对父爱的渴望变成了对父亲的怨恨，父女关系降至冰点。两人鲜少见面、谈心，彼此意见也几乎没有交集。就在结婚前三天，忙着筹备婚礼的朱莉亚接到了父亲秘书的电话。如她所料，父亲不会来参加婚礼。但是这一次，朱莉亚必须承认父亲的缺席借口无可非难。他过世了。朱莉亚在预备举行婚礼的当天为自己的父亲下了葬。然而，在葬礼结束后的第二天，她的父亲以另一种方式归来。朱莉亚收到一个大木箱，里面是跟父亲一模一样的蜡像，上衣口袋里放着遥控器和使用手册，按下按钮，父亲立刻死而复生。 这是朱莉亚病重的父亲，也是她心中一直认为并不疼爱自己的父亲为她准备的人生最后一份礼物。这份礼物将带她踏上一趟奇特的旅行，并解开所有的心结。
