剧情：
本动画改编自豆瓣阅读连载小说《天下刀宗》，作者雨楼清歌。 一场江湖阴谋之中，武林至尊刀宗被杀，各大帮派首领或身死，或陷于囹圄，江湖一片大乱。为了重建武林秩序，停云书院山长燕寄羽派出信使前往各大门派， 意图建立起一个以他为首的“正气”新武林。 然而此时，初出茅庐的杨仞却受人所托，要将一封刀宗遗留的书信送出。一路上，强敌环伺，凶险 异常，但他却靠着一腔热血与侠义不断突破自我，战胜对手，在武学修为猛进的同时，也结识了一帮任侠好义之人。 江湖究竟应该是什么样？杨仞回答不出来，但他知道绝不是燕寄羽所谓的样子。杨仞竖起了一面大旗：“乘锋帮”，迅速聚拢起了反对燕寄羽的江湖人士。大战即始，无人能置身事外。刀宗死后，已然割裂许久的江湖，也将随着新一代刀宗的崛起而重新缝合。
