剧情：
故事发生在宋朝末期。少女若男和少年金哥相遇在闹市的面摊。当时，男装的若男刚刚痛揍了一顿辜负了红袖院的春花的小白脸，怒气未消的她一面兀自喋喋痛骂，一面心头撞鹿地想着宋士俊的到来。金哥（吴京 饰）却是与相依为命的大和尚师傅受寺庙聘请，正要前往雕刻观音塑像。自幼丧父的金哥在母亲被“歹人”杀死之后就被师傅收为徒弟，云游四海，以雕刻佛像为生，清贫却快乐。天性善良又不谱世事的金哥奇怪若男（杨旻娜 饰）的口出恶言，不免询问师傅难道世人都是这样，若男大怒。双方顶牛不休。自此，一对身世特殊的少年走上了纷乱时代人世风雨中，从相厌相恨相怨到相在相爱，到相互支持挺立成为乱世英雄的不归路。这其中，误杀金哥母亲的是独臂武松，抚养金哥的是花和尚鲁智深（徐锦江 饰），与他逝同火却情愫深种的若男是青面兽杨志昔年失散的女儿，息红泪为姐姐嫁给杨志而不值但又痴爱武松之徒宋士俊（国建勇 饰），身行潇洒却内心自私无比的宋士俊为报父亲宋江之仇，不惜出卖朋友、国家。金哥却偶然得知自己的父亲是为人不齿的西门庆。出生的悲剧，杀父的深仇，因出身而被世人误会，这一切厄运缠绕着金哥尚未成熟的心灵。时逢金国觊觑大宋江山已久，即将大举南健，乱世出英雄，民族危机将若男、宋士俊，方腊之女方百花，自称小李逵的李大本事以及武松、鲁智深、杨志等水浒英豪一幷推上舞台，也将英气勃发的西门金哥卷入历史洪流。西门金哥顿时身陷重重危机，矛盾之中，他自身隐含的魔性被杨志看中而几乎被诱入魔道，义结金兰的兄弟，误会他的身世与他反目成仇；他全力支持的大英雄岳飞，竟成了所有兄弟、朋友暗杀的目标；而处心积虑欲置他于死地的宋士俊，却被众人公认为大仁大义的“小及时雨”。
